Referee Bobby Madley called the game off at 2pm following heavy rain in the Greater London area.

An initial pitch inspection was held earlier in the day, however, a second look at the playing surface at the Valley deemed the game unplayable.

The Blues had already made it to Charlton, with manager Kenny Jackett himself inspecting the pitch.

But it proved a pointless journey, with the game called off 60 minutes before the game was due to begin.

No new date for the fixture has been announced.
