Christian Burgess' joy at giving travelling Portsmouth army victory with 'deserved' Bolton success
Christian Burgess felt Pompey were good value for their Bolton victory after his winner.
And the defender spoke of his pleasure at sending Pompey’s 1,846 travelling fans home happy, as they backed they roared their side on to the three points with a 1-0 success.
The Blues faithful were in fine voice at the University of Bolton Stadium throughout the afternoon.
Burgess felt their backing warranted a win he felt his team earned.

He said: ‘We deserved it.
‘This is a tough place and they are a better side than their position suggests. There’s a lot of experience in that side.
‘It was a great team effort.
‘Our fans were here in numbers and as loud as ever, so it was pleasing to give them three points to send them home happy.’
