Nicolaisen told FC Midtjylland’s official site: ‘First of all, I need playing time. I'm now 23 years old, so it's about time to show what I can do. The plan is for me to play a lot of good matches and hopefully deliver at a high level.
‘Portsmouth is a club with ambitions to move up, so I look forward to being a part of and contributing to it. I have had some good talks with the club, and I have a good gut feeling about the stay.
‘The football culture in England will also be exciting to experience. English football has always appealed to me, so I look forward to trying my hand at it.’
