The hosts secured their first home league win of the season thanks to first-half goals from Tom Naylor (two minutes) and Ellis Harrison (23, penalty) either side of Scott Fraser’s spot-kick.

However, they will deem themselves fortunate after the away side dominated possession, enjoying 71 per-cent of the play.

Still, it’s the points that count – and the win sees Pompey move up to ninth in the table.

Here’s what fans had to say on Twitter.

@LewPeet: The formation change at half-time was one of the single worst managerial decisions I’ve ever seen in pro football. Tactically inept.

@johnhorneartist: Yessssss get in there, another great win.

That's fantastic lads, you've done us your fans so proud + another 3 points. Brilliant. Well done Pompey. Up the Blues.

@84Knight: The most undeserved win by any team, ever. That was awful.

@Jamesr02_: Probably one of our most undeserved wins, but I’ll take the three points.

@fayzer83: Absolutely rancid performance... Tactically inept... God knows how MK didn't score that 2nd half.... Got away with one there.... Bides Jackett more time I guess!

@tjhooker1151: And that’s the only thing to celebrate.

The product is still awful under Kenny Jackett. Less than 30% possession. Under the cosh with 5 at the back for 45 minutes +.

A wins a win but this product is awful.

@Dazjorow75: Jacket gave MK an invitation to pile on the pressure the whole of the second half with his tactics.

A standard 4-4-2 would have kept the threat of putting the game out of reach. But 7 at the back (including Morris and Naylor) was an open invitation.

But happy with 3 points PUP.

@teeeeeemps: We didn't deserve to win that all, trying to park the bus against bottom of the league and didn't even do a good job at that.

@Karl_Myers: You won’t see a more unconvincing win than that any time soon.

@topfoder: Horrendous performance. 5 defenders 2 defensive midfielders. No ideas. No penetration.

@AlixRosier: So underserved. That was absolutely horrific to watch.
