Doncaster and Lincoln close gap on Portsmouth

Fejiri Okenabirhie, Benjamin Whiteman and Taylor Richards got the Rovers goals in yesterday’s win. And they were one of a number of the chasing pack to claim three points.

Michael Appleton’s Lincoln City moved level on points with Pompey – though their goal difference is nine worse – with a 4-0 win at Northampton.

Anthony Scully, Tom Hopper and Brennan Johnson (2) were on target.

Charlton were denied a place in the top six by ex-Pompey hotshot Brett Pitman at Swindon. He made it 2-2 in the 90th minute after goals from another ex-Fratton forward, Omar Bogle, and Chuks Aneke, had put the Addicks in the driving seat.

Another promotion chaser to draw were Accrington, who finished goalless at home to Blackpool.

Crewe are up to ninth thanks to goals by Mikael Mandron and Oliver Finney that earned a 2-1 win at AFC Wimbledon.

Elsewhere, there were wins for Gillingham and Plymouth while Fleetwood and Wigan drew 1-1.
