According to Sheffield Star columnist and freelance reporter Alan Biggs, Wednesday have sounded out the man who lead Pompey to the League Two title in 2017.
Cook’s been out of work since resigning from Wigan at the end of last season after they were relegated when hit with a 12-point deduction for entering administration.
Biggs wrote on Twitter: ‘I understand Sheffield Wednesday have made contact with Paul Cook regarding the vacant manager’s job. Nothing clear cut as I would imagine #SWFC have sounded out a number of possible candidates. But a good route to take for starters in my opinion.’
