Ex-Portsmouth, Wolves, Nottingham Forest, Sunderland and Sheffield United defender offers services for free to revive his career

The defender has been without a club for more than a year after leaving Aberdeen in May 2019.
Halford, who scored 12 goals in 77 appearances during his two-year spell at Fratton Park, trained with League Two outfit Walsall earlier this year but failed to win a contract.

Hide AdHe also offered his services to Kenny Jackett in February 2019 but was denied a Blues return ahead of his switch to Aberdeen.
Now Halford – who has also represented the likes of Brighton, Nottingham Forest, Sheffield United, Sunderland and Cardiff during his career – is hoping to secure a new club.
Writing on his Linkedin profile, the 35-year-old revealed his hunger is ‘as strong as ever’ and is fully fit for any side that would be interested in signing him.
Halford said: ‘If there any clubs out there looking for an experienced and motivated player with over 500 league appearances im willing to play for free up to January.
