Fit-again Michael Jacobs returns for Portsmouth in key clash at Ipswich
Michael Jacobs returns to Pompey action following his injury lay off.
However, the winger is among the Blues’ substitutes at Portman Road as Kenny Jackett names an unchanged side.
The Pompey boss understandably sticks to the starting XI which performed so impressively in last weekend’s 2-0 triumph over Peterborough.
That means Jacobs must settle for a place on the bench at Ipswich after recovering from the knee problem which had sidelined him since Sunderland in October.
He represents the sole change to the 18-man squad which was on duty against the Posh at Fratton Park.
Jacobs replaces Bryn Morris among the seven-man bench.
Meanwhile, Oli Hawkins has been named on Ipswich’s bench.
The former Pompey striker has struggled for League One starts this season, his last arriving at the end of October.
Pompey: MacGillivray, Johnson, Whatmough, Raggett, Brown, Harness, Naylor, Cannon, Curtis, Williams, Marquis.
Subs: Bass, Harrison, Nicolaisen, Hwula, Close, Pring, Jacobs.
