It's an achievement to end what has been a remarkable seven days for the Pompey defender.

Bolton’s been in the Fratton Park cold for the majority of the season, having fallen behind Callum Johnson and James Bolton in the right-back pecking order.

After being limited to cup competitions only, suspension to Jack Whatmough and the absence of Rasmus Nicolaisen meant Bolton was handed his first league outing of the campaign at Charlton on Tuesday.

Partnering Sean Raggett in central defence, the ex-Shrewsbury man delivered a superb performance to help Kenny Jackett's side to a 3-1 win against the Addicks.

Bolton kept his starting spot against Plymouth at Fratton Park on Saturday.

And the Stoke-born lad's 87th-minute header clawed back a two-goal deficit to earn Pompey a 2-2 draw.

As a result, Bolton's been named in the Team of the Week – and is Pompey's only representive.

He features in the line-up alongside the likes of Peterborough's Jonson Clarke Harris, Ipswich's Alan Judge and Luke Jephcott, who scored both of Plymouth's goals against the Blues.

Bolton’s once again set to start when Jackett’s side host Swindon on Tuesday.
