Former Portsmouth and Notts County man lines-up for local non-league side

The versatile former Blues man features in Shaun Gale's starting line-up for their Southern League premier division south curtain-raiser at Chesham this afternoon.

Oxlade-Chamberlain, the brother of Liverpool midfielder Alex, was released from Fratton Park in the summer of 2018.

He made one first-team appearance against Exeter in the EFL Trophy in 2015, as well as having loan spells at the likes of Oxford City, Poole, Salisbury and Eastbourne Borough.

After leaving Pompey, Oxlade-Chamberlain joined Notts County. However, he couldn't establish himself at Meadow Lane, making just three appearances in two years before leaving earlier this summer.

Now the 22-year-old has returned to the south coast and joined Gosport.

Blues Academy youngster Gerard Storey is on loan at Privett Park and also starts.
