League One rivals Peterborough and Scottish Premiership outfit Hibernian were also reportedly interested.

He admitted he was already well stocked in the right-wing department with Marcus Harness and Ryan Williams as options.

Clark turned down fresh terms at Accrington and has now joined Championship side Luton on a free transfer.

Hatters boss Nathan Jones said: ‘We are delighted to get Jordan. He’s a player that we’ve thought highly about for a long, long time.
