Ex-Pompey youngster Bradley Lethbridge has joined Bognor.

The forward moves to Nyewood Lane on a permanent basis after his Fratton Park departure.

Lethbridge made three appearances for Kenny Jackett’s side and scored in a 2-2 Leasing.com Trophy draw at Oxford earlier this season.

Now he’s complete a switch to the Rocks where he spent a large portion of the past two campaigns on loan.

In total, he scored 20 times in 71 appearances for the Isthmian League premier division side.

Bognor manager Jack Pearce said: ‘It’s great news to have Bradley with us going forward.

‘We know of his capabilities and we believe there is a lot more to come from him.

‘He has all the attributes to play at a higher level and he knows here at Bognor we can provide a fantastic opportunity for him to continue his development.’

Jackett has backed Lethbridge to again climb the pyramid despite not being kept on by Pompey.

The Blues boss said: ‘Bradley is very much at the start of his journey and it’ll very much depend on what happens for him going forward and what opportunities he’ll get as well.

‘If you’re in the right place at the right time, you can build up senior games over the next few years and there is no reason why Bradley can’t go on and have a very good career.

‘When you look at players who are maybe coming towards their peak in the mid-twenties and look at the journey they’ve been on, it’s very rare it’s with the same club all the way through.’
