It totals up to a sell-out among home support against a Shrewsbury side whose last league win arrived at Blackpool on December 21.

Pompey are unbeaten in 14 Fratton Park fixtures in the league this season, winning nine of them, to establish something of a fortress.

Kenny Jackett’s side's club record-winning streak of nine matches came to an end on Tuesday night at Coventry, following a 1-0 defeat.

On the same evening, the Shrews lost 2-0 at home to Accrington as their worrying slide continues.
