The central midfielder was released by Doncaster at the end of last season. The 24-year-old appeared twice for Pompey and travelled with the team to St George’s Park. Following the team's return, he was released but has signed a two-year deal at Crewe where he's made 11 appearances for David Artell’s side.

Addai was released by Barnsley and played three times during pre-season. However the 23-year-old keeper was released following a failed medical and the signing of Gavin Gavin Bazunu, and soon signed for Dutch second tier side Esbjerg fB where he's made a single senior appearance.
