Funeral of former Portsmouth director and seminal non-league figure Ray Stainton to be sea of colour
The funeral of former Pompey commercial director and general manager Ray Stainton will take place on Friday at Portchester Crematorium (1.45pm) with all welcome.
And the family of the Gosport Borough chief executive are calling for those who attend to wear blue and yellow - the colours of the clubs he was associated with - rather than black.
Stainton, who was also involved with Waterlooville and played a leading role in the formation of Havant and Waterlooville, died early this month at the age of 77 after a lifetime dedicated to local sport.
