Why do you think Pompey were so poor?

It was awful, wasn't it. They were second to every second ball, every knock down and Peterborough outran them.

At the back, the Blues were all over the place. If it wasn’t for Alex Bass, it would have been 6-0 or 7-0.

Fair play to Peterborough because they looked good, but we were dreadful.

It’s deflating because Pompey are brilliant are home but the away form needs sorting out.

We’ve got Ipswich, Oxford and Rotherham all coming up and that's where it is going to be won or lost.

Do you fear Pompey won't be promoted because of their away form?

If they don’t go up, it will be for that reason.

The top two is still there if we can turn it around because every team competing for promotion has there own issue.

However, it's going to take something dramatic to turn it around because we were completely hopeless on Saturday.

John Marquis up top away from home doesn’t really work as he doesn’t hold the ball up, so maybe Ellis Harrison coming back in might be the answer.

Was it the right decision to start Jack Whatmough?

I’d have picked him, although he looked off it.

Ivan Toney gave him a bit of a runaround, although there will be a lot of players who are given a runaround by him because he’s a bloody good player.

It was a bit harsh taking Whatmough off at half-time but I understood why. He was on a booking and looked like he could have got a second one.

It probably was the right decision, if not harsh, as he could have ending up getting sent off.

What did you make of Andy Cannon not starting?

When he's fully fit, he plays but it is a frustrating one.

He’s probably been our best player this year and it was a shame to not see him play, but the medical team will know what’s best for him.

I assume like everyone else your man of the match was Alex Bass?

Yes, he was brilliant. One of the saves from Ivan Toney just before half-time when he flicked it over the bar from about four yards was a great save.

I like Craig MacGillivray, I think he's class and when he dropped out of the team I thought it’d only be for a couple of games.

But fair play to Bass, he’s made it his own and it raises a question to the summer now whether MacGillivray stays or goes.
