I'm gutted I won't be at Fratton Park for this game.

At the start of the season, you set out hoping to get promoted automatically or via the play-offs. I bought my season ticket to be at the big games at the end of the season.

Obviously, you want them to get to Wembley but it would be terrible seeing Pompey playing at an empty stadium.

Everyone fan will be gutted but I'd still rather get promoted whether it's with fans or no fans. I'm still excited about the game and the build-up is going to be just as excited even though I won't be there.

We've got to go for it at home and get an advantage going into the return leg.

Kenny Jackett has been a little bit cautious on the road so hopefully we can get a lead then it'll suit his style.

I would have preferred to have played either Fleetwood or Wycombe in the semi-finals and then Oxford in the final because I think they're the strongest side out of the three.

I'm quite pleased the second leg is away from home because the pressure is on you more to score.

Last season, it just felt the pressure was on us to create being a goal down and I don't think that's Jackett's strength.

It might be a bit different this time around so hopefully we can get a lead in the first leg and then hold onto what we've earned.

Jackett's not the type of manager who will change his way too much but I do think he should go with a bit more attacking flair.

It would be nice having an advantage heading into the second leg but I think with Jackett's style he might be a little bit cautious whereas the fans will maybe want him to a bit more attacking.

Our play-off record isn't good but there are different players, even from when we played Sunderland last year.

The circumstances are completely different anyway and I don't think it'll be on the players' minds. Maybe it will be on the fans' minds and they'll be nervous because what has happened but not the players.

Jackett will have to go with what's got him to this point. Andy Cannon is key as home because he's a bit of a playmaker and can create chances while Ellis Harrison holds the ball up a bit more than John Marquis.

The heart says a 2-0 win but with my head, I can perhaps see a 1-1 draw.

Dave's Pompey line-up (4-2-3-1)

Alex Bass; James Bolton, Christian Burgess, Sean Raggett, Steve Seddon; Tom Naylor, Cameron McGeehan; Marcus Harness, Andy Cannon, Ronan Curtis; Ellis Harrison.
