A massively disappointing match. Again.

Yes, very frustrating, especially when I feel we are capable of promotion.

Blackpool came to defend and counter and frustrate us – yet that’s what we were doing as well! We were very cautious and reluctant to attack.

The match was petering out to be a draw before they got that late winner.

It seems as if some of our players are undroppable. The likes of John Marquis and Sean Raggett must feel they are the first names on the team sheet.

Charlies Daniels is now another. It feels like he has been signed to create rather than defend. Lee Brown is a better defender.

You mentioned John Marquis.

It is no secret that he can’t play on his own up front. Being isolated, he is forced to work so hard and he’s not at his best.

Earlier in the season he had Marcus Harness with him and was scoring goals, it puzzles me why Kenny Jackett has changed that.

If Marquis is playing with the right players in the right formation then he will score goals, that’s what he is in the team to do.

I don’t think he’s a particularly good footballer, but he will score goals. Although £1m or whatever was a lot of money for somebody who is not a good player

Who was your man of the match?

With Tom Naylor it’s endless effort, sometimes it looks like he’s carrying nine players on his shoulders.

It has been a recurring thing since those back-to-back defeats to Hull and Lincoln that he’s had to take on all responsibility.

Work-rate, interceptions, he covers so much ground. The only others who stick out like that are perhaps Ryan Williams and sometimes Andy Cannon.

At this stage, Naylor is my player of the season. He’s our captain and stand-out performer, when he’s not in the team it shows.

Will Pompey get automatic promotion?

I would say no. At Christmas it was yes, in early January it was yes. Now it is no.

Those back-to-back defeats to Hull and Lincoln knocked their confidence, we’ve not been the same since.

We are capable of getting promotion, but the way things are at the moment the formation is not effective.

We’ve beaten some good teams so far this season and even if we do get promotion it’s a double-edged sword.

Naturally, as a fan, you want promotion, but that would surely then mean Kenny Jackett staying. It’s a dilemma.
