Haji Mnoga the fourth Portsmouth player to test positive for coronavirus

Pompey have confirmed that Haji Mnoga has tested positive for coronavirus – taking the number of Blues affected by the virus to four.

This morning the club announced that Sean Raggett, James Bolton and Andy Cannon had contracted covid-19.

However, following the delivery of a third batch of test results, it’s been revealed that 17-year-old defender Mnoga has also tested positive.

The latest club statement read: ‘After receiving results from another batch of tests, Portsmouth Football Club can confirm that Haji Mnoga has tested positive for coronavirus. Public Health England have been notified.

‘This follows the earlier news that James Bolton, Andy Cannon and Sean Raggett also tested positive for the virus.

‘The four players are currently self-isolating in accordance with government guidelines and we send our best wishes to all of them.’

Pompey are now waiting for the results of 10 more tests.

Mnoga has featured once for Pompey this season – against Walsall in the Leasing.com Trophy.
