Latest Cheltenham odds as former Portsmouth and Spurs boss Harry Redknapp looks to add Gold Cup to famous FA Cup triumph

Harry Redknapp has an excellent chance of adding the Gold Cup to the FA Cup he won with Pompey in 2008

Guiding Pompey to FA Cup glory at Wembley in 2008 is without doubt Harry Redknapp’s biggest footballing achievement.

Rank outsiders for the Cup at the start of that memorable 2007-08 campaign, ’Arry and the Blues defied the odds to get their hands on one of the most prestigious trophies in the sporting world with victory over Cardiff in front of 89.874 fans.

Not even the hurdle of a quarter-final trip to Old Trafford, where Pompey faced a Manchester United side that went on to win the both Premier League and Champions League that year, could stop Kanu, Cambell, Diarra & Co.

Nearly 18 years on from that magical May afternoon, Redknapp’s now got his sights set on another distinguished crown, albeit it in a completely different sport.

Indeed, these days the former Pompey and Spurs boss is more likely to be seen in the winner’s enclosure at a racecourse than standing on a touchline shouting orders at footballers.

And with his horse, Jukebox Man, one of the favourites for today’s Cheltenham Gold Cup, which is widely recognised as one of the most prestigious steeplechases in the world, there’s every chance the 79-year-old will be parading another famous trophy infront of adoring spectators.

Just like Pompey’s trip to Man Utd en route to Cup glory back in 2008, Jukebox Man has already overcome one major hurdle ahead of today’s 4pm race.

That was at the King George VI Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day, where the eight-year-old gelding saw off both 2024 King George winner Banbridge and 9-4 favourite Gaelic Warrior to claim victory in the esteemed Grade 1 national hunt race.

So what are the odds on ’Arry repeating his Pompey heroics and adding another trophy to his collection? We checked the odds on Paddy Power to find out, and this is what we discovered.
