5. Saturday 7th January - Lee Bowyer

6. Sunday 8th January - Chris Wilder
After The News revealed Wilder would be interested in the job, he became the latest man to be favoured for the role. Although he stated his desire at managing in the Championship, he was still eyed by many to succeed Cowley. There was a three-way lead at the top of the market between Wilder, Manning & Williams, who were all priced as 5/1 favourites.
