Sulley Muntari’s 78th-minute penalty saw Pompey bypass Sir Alex Ferguson’s side 1-0 – sparking mass celebrations on the pitch, with the Blues moving another step closer to lifting the famous old silverware. There were also some unforgettable scenes in the stands as the 4,500-plus travelling Fratton faithful celebrated a famous victory.
