The Blues booked their place in the second round of the competition thanks to a controversial Sean Raggett goal in the second period of extra-time.

The enthralling game at Portman Road went beyond 90 minutes after early goals from Ronan Curtis and Tom Naylor were cancelled out by strikes either side of half-time by Jon Nolan and substitute James Norwood.

@johnhorneartist: Yessssss get in there, well done lads, that's a great turnaround to win to the next round of FA Cup, Yipeeeeee, you've done us fans so proud.

Brilliant win Pompey. Up the Blues.

@LewPeet: Good result, strong performance. Give them all a rest now until Plymouth.

@emm_smith93: We like to make things difficult don't we.

@_dariogonzalo: I LOVE YOU RAGGETT.

@Mike50618589: Charlton and Sunderland both lost tonight.

Have to ask yourself if that is a considered decision on both sides to concentrate on the league ?...and should we be?

@danieledmunds4: The one thing that came from that game for me was that’s was why we let Ollie Hawkins leave. Anonymous at best!

@Fuengi: He was beyond both the defender and the goalkeeper. It was a terrible decision.

@stevebone1: Well done Pompey. In the hat. Is 98 minutes the longest time between Blues goals in a game, I wonder?

@RossHenley: Odd game. Pompey totally on top first half and extra time. Where were they second half but frankly now who cares . We won.

@AshBeen23: It's much more fun without VAR.
