The Blues cruised to a 4-0 victory over the Wombles to move within a point of the League One summit.

John Marquis and Ryan Williams netted in quick succession in the first half before Raggett thumped home a header on the stroke of the interval.

Ben Close came off the bench to add the gloss to the win in the closing stages.

Pompey are now the league's top scorers, having bagged 37 times in 21 matches.

Kenny Jackett boasts an array of forward talent that also includes Ronan Curtis, Marcus Harness, Ellis Harrison, Michael Jacobs and the unused Jordy Hiwula.

Raggett believes they can cause any defence in the division problems.

The centre-back said: ‘We weren’t quite at our best but we can still punish teams and stop them scoring.

‘Those are the strengths that we have. We don’t have to be at our best all of the time but when we get opportunities, we punish teams.

‘John and Willo scored in quick succession and it was a good time to score because it relaxes the game a bit more.

‘We are confident with our attacking players and they are in really good form. We are always confident they are going to score.

‘I’d always back myself but they are good players it would be tough to come up against our attackers!

‘We’re the highest scorers in the league after today so they are doing really well at the moment.’

Hiwula was again left on the bench for Pompey against the Londonders.

Raggett reckons the striker’s been unfortunate not to feature as frequently as he’d like – but it’s testament to how strong the Blues' squad is.

He added: ‘You look at players like Jordy (Hiwula), who will be disappointed with the minutes he’s had because he is a really good player.

‘The boys have been playing really well and we have strength in depth there.’
