The defender starts his first league game in 13 months in the promotion battle at London Road.

Whatmough’s one of three changes from the last league outing against Rochdale as Steve Seddon and Ben Close also start in place of Lee Brown and Andy Cannon.

There’s also a place on the bench for Brett Pitman, with Ellis Harrison not in today’s squad.
