'Jackett outwitted tactically... not too disheartened' - how Portsmouth fans reacted to the 2-0 loss to Charlton
Jonny Williams and ex-target Chuks Aneke were on the scoresheet for the Addicks, putting paid to the Blues’ impressive recent form of three straight wins.
Pompey’s best chance fell to Ronan Curtis when the game was goalless but he blazed over the bar from close range.

Members of the Fratton faithful have delivered their verdict on the Blues’ defeat.
Here’s what they said on Twitter...

Pompey rue early misses as Charlton take their one and only opportunity in the first half.
Pratley awful challenge and not even booked.
Charlton parked on the edge of their box entire second half but Pompey really didn't create & then caught on the break.

not good enough today

Hide AdDisappointed but certainly the best team we’ve played so far! Hope Jack’s okay. Thought ref was terrible should have been a sending off! Fans were definitely missed today!
@benellissss
Standard jackett side good enough to be around the play offs but nowhere good enough for promotion. Completely outplayed by a better side jackett has to go.
@niallpfc
Another home defeat for #Pompey but not as poor a display as the other two. Amos wasn’t tested in Charlton goal at all and second half looked toothless. Blues had plenty of time to break down visitors who sat back for final 25. Charlton haven’t conceded in 9 hours of football

Not too disheartened today, just an off day. Roll on Tuesday, massive game

Hide Ad#cafc a much better outfit, didn’t get out of 2nd gear and we just couldn’t break them down - I’m no longer surprised with Jackett’s decisions, mental changing a combo that’s been working last few games at HT #Pompey
@Hells_Bells1982
Yet another example of Jackett being outwitted tactically against the better managers in L1
@TomHaustead
Unlike previous losses this season, there were at least some positives today. We dictated the game for long periods, albeit without testing their goalie. Time to dust off and get on another run. Tactical change at half time was odd - I thought we looked quite bright first half
