Charlton concerns

Charlton’s Supporters’ Trust (CAST) have expressed their concerns about the club to Thomas Sandgaard.

The group have requested a meeting with the Addicks’ owner over the direction of their side and what the future holds for the south London outfit.

In an open article, the supporters have identified a number of key issues surrounding current affairs and voiceed their questions directed at the Danish entrepreneur.

This included: unrealistic Premier League ambitions, cost-cutting in the academy, January transfer window funds, plans for the day-to-day running of non-football aspects of the club and recent tweets from directors.

No comment has been made by Sandgaard as CAST await a response from the owner.

Staying put in the Robins nest

Cheltenham’s director of football Micky Moore has committed his future to the Robins, according to Gloucestershire Live.

The 49-year-old had been approached by local rivals Forest Green to take up their vacant role, after Richard Hughes agreed to join Pompey in September.

After being given permission, the former Barrow boss met with Rovers owner Dale Vince on Tuesday but has since opted to remain at the Completely-Suzuki Stadium.

Moore has held the position since 2020 and has overseen the League Two title-winning season, Cheltenham’s highest league finish last term and the appointment of Wade Elliott during his successful time with the Robins.

Exeter talks under way

Exeter are expected to conduct a number of interviews for their vacant managerial role this week.

Surprisingly leading the running is current interim boss Joe Nicholson, who raced into pole position with the bookies on Thursday morning.

The former Torquay manager has picked up maximum points in two of his his opening three games in charge at St James Park, but fell to a 4-2 defeat to Charlton on Tuesday.

The Grecians’ under-18 coach is also joined by former Bristol City head coach Lee Holden and ex-Crewe man David Artell as the early favourites.
