And another is reportedly off for the same reason, although it’s yet to be confirmed.

Accrington's clash with Bristol Rovers at the Wham Stadium was postponed morning after eight Stanley players had contracted coronavirus.

And Oxford United’s derby with Swindon Town at the Kassam Stadium has reportedly suffered the same fate. The Swindon Advertiser reports that there is 'more than one positive case' in the Robins’ squad.

Speaking after Accrington's game was called off, manager John Coleman said: ‘I have spoken to the players and some of them are asymptomatic while a few are feeling it a little bit.

‘Luckily none are seriously ill but they are fit lads and we hope that will help them a bit.

‘Now it’s about following protocol and keeping everyone safe and limiting the spread, that’s our duty to the general public.

‘We are mindful of that which is why we consulted the EFL and tomorrow’s game is postponed.

‘We also need to protect those who haven’t tested positive and we need to batten down the hatches to stop it circulating any further.

‘Hopefully everyone will come back OK.’

The Covid-19 pandemic continues to impact clubs in the third tier, with cases again rising across England.

Earlier this month, Oxford's match with Crewe was postponed only 35 minutes before kick-off after an Alexandra player had tested positive.

Meanwhile, Ipswich are currently without striker Kayden Jackson as he self-isolates after a positive test.

Charlton were also without Chuks Aneke for the same reason for a period.

Pompey have not yet had any positive cases this season.

However, at the start of the pandemic in March, James Bolton, Andy Cannon, Haji Mnoga, Ross McCrorie and Sean Raggett all contracted the virus.
