League One season extension: Portsmouth, Sunderland, Ipswich and every League One clubs' stance over mooted idea

It really has been a season like no other.

The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has lead to postponements left, right and centre in League One.

Positive cases have meant clubs throughout the division have been forced to cancel games, with Pompey calling off clashes with Swindon and Bristol Rovers over the festive period.

A new strain of Covid-19 that’s more easily spread means cases across the country have surged, resulting in England entering a third national lockdown.

There’s concerns how fixtures will be fulfilled, although bi-weekly testing will now take place from Monday.

A circuit-breaker and an extension of the campaign have been mooted by some, although not everyone is in agreement.
