Positive cases have meant clubs throughout the division have been forced to cancel games, with Pompey calling off clashes with Swindon and Bristol Rovers over the festive period.
A new strain of Covid-19 that’s more easily spread means cases across the country have surged, resulting in England entering a third national lockdown.
There’s concerns how fixtures will be fulfilled, although bi-weekly testing will now take place from Monday.
A circuit-breaker and an extension of the campaign have been mooted by some, although not everyone is in agreement.

6. Charlton
Lee Bowyer's questioned whether a circuit-breaker would work in League One. He told talkSPORT last week: 'I don’t think it will make a difference because if you look at the reports on the tele it’s getting worse and worse all the time. 7. Crewe Alexandra
David Artell reckons it's unlikely UEFA will allow the season to be extended ahead of the Euros in the summer. He said: 'I would be very surprised if the season was to be extended. I don’t think UEFA would allow that, so I think the season will finish on the date in May. It is important to play the games and clubs need to be flexible with that. 8. Doncaster Rovers
Donny have recently had coronavirus cases and while Darren Moore isn't calling for a suspension of the season, he said: 'Doncaster Rovers as a football club have been absolutely impeccable in following the procedure as a football club and it’s still bitten us.
