It’s meant Kenny Jackett’s side have slipped from third to sixth in the table heading into another key battle against seventh-placed Fleetwood on Tuesday.

Here’s what fans made of Pompey’s reverse on Facebook page Portsmouth FC – The News...

Tom Haustead

Just looking at the league you would say it is still very much there for us this season. After all, win on Tuesday and we will be outside the top 2 on goal difference only. However, you only have to look at how we have done away from home against the better sides to see that we will probably end up in the playoffs.

Our three recent away games against sides around us in the league have ended in zero points and zero goals - not exactly the sign of a team who will end up in the top 2 come the end of the season.

Tuesday night crucial now. 6 points from next 2 games & the moaners will shut up again!

But for Bass, we were lucky not to have had a huge knock on our goal difference .Pym may aswell have been substituted in the Peterborough goal for an outfield player, because they didn’t need a ‘keeper.

Jon Doyle

People need to stop thinking we have a god given right to win every game, win or lose I’m Pompey till I die
