Following Tuesday’s curtailing of the League One campaign, the Blues’ attention now turns to a play-off semi-final against Oxford United.

However, of their nine remaining league fixtures, four were scheduled at Fratton Park – leaving short season-ticket holders and those to have pre-bought individual match tickets.

As a result, the Blues have been exploring how best to compensate those supporters affected.

An update on the situation was released by the club on June 4.

With Pompey’s season now clarified, Mark Catlin has revealed a decision is expected to be made public this week.

The Blues’ chief executive told The News: ‘We have been working behind the scenes for a while now on what would happen in the event of a curtailment.

‘We just have to run some final bits via our board and internally dot the i’s and cross the t’s. That will mean speaking again to the Tony Goodall Fans’ Conference and letting our H&A Board know what we are doing.

‘Hopefully, by the end of this week, we will be in a position to advise fans over what will be happening in regards of match-day tickets or season tickets.

‘We previously couldn’t make a decision until we knew what was happening in terms of whether the season was going to end, or if it was the play-offs. So there were a lot of things to take into account.

‘We know broadly what our intentions are and hopefully will be able to get that out by the end of this week at the latest.’
