2. Tom Lowery - Kilmarnock
(15 games, 0 goals) The midfielder’s time at Fratton Park was dogged by injury and he has also suffered at Kilmarnock, ruling him out of action in September and October. Although he wasn’t included in their squad for Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Hibernian, Lowery had started four of their last six matches, including a 3-0 home loss to Rangers last month. Killie are presently managerless and second from bottom of the Scottish Premiership, with just two wins from their opening 21 league matches. Previous boss Stuart Kettlewell was sacked 10 days before Christmas. Photo: Pete Norton

3. Anthony Scully - Shrewsbury
(22 games, 4 goals) Having started just three league matches in three seasons, Scully is finally injury-free and playing regular first-team football again, with Shrewsbury providing the platform. He been trialling with Danny Cowley at Colchester after his Pompey release, before moving to the Shrews in July, where he has totalled 22 appearances. There was also a spell of four goals in five games from late October, with one being a winner over fellow strugglers Newport County. However, Scully has now gone eight games without a goal. Shrewsbury, who are managed by ex-Pompey boss Michael Appleton, are presently third from bottom of League Two, just one place above the relegation zone. Photo: Jason Brown

4. Kusini Yengi - Aberdeen
(10 games, 1 goal) A move to Aberdeen on a two-year deal swiftly turned sour for the Australian, with supporters turning on the striker following an unconvincing start. He scored three games into his Dons career, netting in a 3-0 win at Morton in the League Cup, but Yengi hasn’t started a match since being taken off at half-time against Falkirk in August. Indeed, he has featured once in Aberdeen’s last 16 matches and not even made their squad for the last four fixtures. According to reports, the club are seeking to end his miserable spell during the January transfer window. Photo: Mike Hewitt
