Peterborough will welcome back their 25-goal top-scorer Ivan Toney for the visit of Pompey.

He missed the Posh’s past two games through suspension, after picking up his 10th booking of the season against Southend.

But the striker is expected to walk straight back into Darren Ferguson’s side in a bid to bolster their recently flagging promotion hopes.

Centre-back Frankie Kent, however, remains unavailable.

He picked up a knee injury on February 8 against Oxford, with no return date pencilled in.

Pompey team news

Pompey go into the game with a clean bill of health.

But there’s uncertainty surrounding the centre of defence, with Christian Burgess serving the first game of a two-match ban.

James Bolton played as a makeshift centre-half for the visit of Arsenal in the FA Cup on Monday, with Ross McCrorie filling in at right-back.

However, Kenny Jackett has other options, including Jack Whatmough, Tom Naylor and Paul Downing.
