Portsmouth v Coventry City injury news as seven out

Pompey and the Sky Blues clash at Fratton Park in one of the lunch time matches in the Sky Bet Championship.

Pompey hope to issue a response from last week as they host Coventry City at Fratton Park on Saturday, December 21.

John Mousinho's men were on the receiving end of a 4-0 defeat to Derby County last Friday. The result saw them drop in to the relegation zone after Cardiff City's point at Stoke City but Pompey do possess a game in hand.

Coventry ran out 2-1 winners against bottom side Hull City last week with Ephron Mason-Clark and Jack Rudoni on target. Frank Lampard replaced Mark Robins at the end of November and so far he's tasted just one defeat since taking over. Seven points and seven places separate Coventry in 15th and Pompey in 22nd.

Playing on Friday gave players nursing any knocks and niggles an extra day to recover. Leading up to Saturday, a few players have moved closer towards making a return but there are a few doubts in there too.

Frank Lampard spoke to the Coventry Telegraph in his pre-match press conference and provided an update on his squad. The Sky Blues don’t have many injuries to contend with and they have Raphael Rodrigues trying to force his way in to his plans. Flick through to see which players are either ruled out or doubtful.
