And after 115 days Pompey played out a 1-1 draw against Oxford Unitedm as their bid to reach the Championship got underway. Ronan Curtis made the first-half breakthrough for Kenny Jackett’s side before Marcus Browne levelled just before the break. Referee Gavin Ward’s performance was under the microscope for his failure to award Pompey a penalty with a number of shouts not resulting in a spot-kick.
