Portsmouth 1 Oxford 1: post-match skirmish breaks out as Blues miss out on chance to move up to third in League One

The Blues get set for their latest battle with their third-tier rivals, after both missing out on promotion last season.

The two sides met in the play-off semi-finals and there was little to seperate them after two legs and 210 minutes of football.

However, it was Oxford who advanced into the final after defeating Kenny Jackett’s side on penalties.

But with the U’s losing to Wycombe at Wembley, both outfits are now again plotting their way to the Championship.

Pompey have fared much better so far this campaign and sit fourth in the table, while Oxford languish in 19th.
