Portsmouth closing in on new signing

The Blues have scheduled a medical this afternoon for the unnamed addition to Kenny Jackett’s ranks, and if all goes well that will pave the way to the move being finalised.

The player is believed to be an attacking new face and will go straight into Jackett’s squad for the trip to Brighton on Thursday.

The deal will bolster Pompey’s options going forward after the attacking players misfired in the 0-0 league opener against Shrewsbury.

Jackett has so far added two new faces to his Pompey ranks this summer with Callum Johnson and Cameron Pring joining, while Sean Raggett has signed a permanent deal after his loan stay last season.
