Pompey’s immediate focus will remain on enjoying a productive festive period and boosting their hopes of fighting a successful battle against relegation from the Championship.
As it stands ahead of Saturday’s visit to Derby County, John Mousinho’s men are sitting one point and one place above the relegation zone and they will aim to extend that cushion by building on last weekend’s 2-1 home victory against fellow strugglers Blackburn Rovers.
There is another distraction on the other side of the festive period as the January transfer window clicks into gear - but the new year will also bring a need to make desires over the future of several Pompey players that will enter the final six months of their current deals in January.
But what is the current contract status of the Portsmouth squad?
