Portsmouth debut for Duncan Turnbull in much-changed side for Peterborough

With Alex Bass out with a dead leg sustained in training and Craig MacGillivray rested after featuring on Sunday, goalkeeping duties have been handed to the 6ft 7in American.

Turnbull, who had an unsuccessful loan spell at Dulwich Hamlet earlier in the season, is among 10 changes for the Blues.

Of the side which started Sunday’s 2-1 defeat at Bristol City, only Rasmus Nicolaisen retains his place.

Even then, the Dane was withdrawn at half-time in that Ashton Gate fixture in favour of Jack Whatmough, who is not included in the squad.

Nicolaisen, James Bolton and Paul Downing form a back three, with Harry Kavanagh and Harvey Rew serving as the wing-backs.

There’s a full debut for Harry Jewitt-White, who has already appeared as a substitute in the competition for the Blues this season.

The midfield also contains Ben Close and Bryn Morris, while John Marquis and Callum Johnson are on an otherwise youthful bench.

Up front are Ellis Harrison and Jordy Hiwula, who both appeared as substitutes at Bristol City.

Meanwhile, Haji Mnoga is missing through suspension, having collected two bookings in the competition.
