Those who’re tired of their barnet growing longer than usual have taken to the measures of grabbing the clippers out of the cupboard or ordering a set online.

Across social media, there are swathes of photos of people’s home haircuts – including Pompey defender Ross McCrorie.

Having let Twitter know he’d been given a new hairdo, McCrorie’s followers were understandably keen to see the end product.

On his new chop, McCrorie wrote: ‘Letting big Robby cut my hair was a dangerous game.

‘Don’t worry not a baldy! Let’s just say he’s decent at bowl cut.’

McCrorie has made 22 appearances for Pompey since arriving on a season-long loan from Ibrox.
