Pompey are poised to lose Head of Recruitment Phil Boardman, according to reports.

An exclusive by Football Insider reports that Everton have agreed a deal to bring the talent-spotter to Goodison Park.

Terms have reportedly already been settled, with Boardman to be appointed as the Premier League side’s Senior European Scout.

He’ll operate alongside Toffees Director of Football Kevin Thelwell, whom he previously worked with a Wolves.

Boardman was Head of Performance Analysis at Molineux before being brought to Fratton Park by former Blues boss Kenny Jackett ahead of the 2017-18 season.

He’s been at Pompey for more than six years and has overseen many squad overhauls in that time.

Most recently, Boardman has been working alongside Rich Hughes, who was appointed as the Blues’ Sporting Director last autumn.
