Portsmouth favourite Lomana Lualua set to make his long-awaited debut for Peterborough Sports

Pompey favourite Lomana Lualua is set to make his debut for Peterborough Sports two months after first signing for the side.

The former Blues striker’s move to the Southern League Premier Division Central outfit was announced in November 2019.

Despite arriving with much fanfare Lualua has yet to make an appearance for Peterborough Sports due to injuries.

However that could be set to change with our sister title Peterborough Today reporting that the 39-year-old is now fit and is expected to be on the substitutes bench when the side host Hitchin Town on Tuesday night.

Lualua joined Pompey on loan in February 2004 and went on to score 19 goals in 91 appearances becoming a favourite with the fans.

His move to the non-league side was announced by manager Jimmy Dean last year, who tweeted: ‘I’m delighted to announce that former Pompey player Lualua has signed for Peterborough Sports.

‘He’s recently moved to P’boro & after training with us & waiting for several international clearances he’s been given the all clear to play.

‘Welcome!’
