'Worst side in Championship. In serious trouble' - Angry Portsmouth fans react to 1-0 defeat to Bristol City
The Fratton faithful aren’t happy following ninth defeat of the season for Pompey
Pompey fans on social media have been reacting to the Blues’ 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Bristol City.
And as you would expect, the Fratton faithful aren’t happy after they witnessed a fifth home defeat of the season.
The loss leaves Pompey in the bottom three for the first time this terms and heightens concerns already expressed as John Mousinho’s side struggle to really get to grips with this season’s Championship.
Next up is two away games against Charlton and Swansea, with the Blues bottom of the table in terms of picking up points on the road.
These are clearly worrying times - and that’s reflected in the views shared on social media as the fans take stock of a ninth league defeat.
Here’s what fans have been saying following the final whistle at Fratton Park.
Pompey 0-1 Bristol City: What Pompey fans have been saying
@Adam_G_P_: Poor summer recruitment. Struggle through to Jan. Panic buy players. Just about stay up. Repeat. What changes? Eisners approach isn’t working. Mous is unable to get results or motivate the team, and making questionable decisions. Something has to give.
@HazzaTWood96: A home defeat to Bristol City, Pompey created but no end product once again, something has to give to get us firing again as the wins are very hard to see coming atm, just another dismal result.
@TomBeeson79317: Let's be quite clear that our problems are we are too small all over the pitch with a pathetically weak core IE Knight, Pack, Bishop. These players shouldn't be anywhere near a Championship team. John is going to fall on his sword sticking with them every week.
@JackDavis10: Just nowhere near it going forward, club feels lifeless at the moment.
@MrSpudman: We're in serious trouble aren't we?
@CharliePittock: Four points from nine games with Charlton away up next. Pompey bang in trouble now.
@SullyBen: Mousinho made that triple change too late. Think we are getting to the point where a managerial change could be a possibility.
@TheSteakBake: Felt we were the better team for maybe 60 minutes there. But there is no point if you can't create. Desperately need to make more chances and get our shots away.
One big chance all game is not enough.
@Steve_Wrixon: How has John not worked out why we start games so poorly? The players were all over the place for the first 25 mins. That's on the manager!
@robert89__: Pathetic Pompey. Knew in the summer recruitment would let us down again.
@officialfournil: Pompey are the worst side in the Championship right now.
