The Blues make four changes to their starting XI for the visit of Cardiff

John Mousinho has handed out two debuts as Pompey seek to end their concerning run of form.

That has prompted the head coach to make four changes to his team, with deadline-day arrivals Tyrese Shade and Jayden Meghoma both included.

Meghoma, on loan from Brentford, replaces Zak Swanson at left-back, while Shade comes in for Ryan Kavuma-McQueen, who suffered a wrist injury in defeat to Derby.

There are also recalls for Conor Shaughnessy, who comes in for Madiodio Dia in the centre of defence, while Rocco Shein takes Ebou Adams’ place in midfield.

Dia, Luke Brooke-Smith, John Swift and Harvey Blair drop out of the squad, having been named on the bench against Derby.

Meanwhile, former Pompey loanee Alex Robertson starts for Cardiff, marking his return to Fratton Park after being part of their 2023-24 title win.

Pompey: Bielica, Devlin, Shaughnessy, Arthur, Meghoma, Pack, Shein, Kamara, Segecic, Shade, Milovanovic.

Subs: Schmid, Poole, Bishop, Swanson, Kavuma-McQueen, Bailey, Kenny, Mohamed, Adams.
