Do you agree with how Blues writer Jordan Cross saw it at Fratton Park?
9. Conor Chaplin 7 MOTM
Everyone willing it to happen for the Pompey favourite as it didn’t go his way again in first half. So it was heartening to see Chaplin step up much more after the restart, as he offered movement, threat and was at the heart of his side’s better moments - hitting the post late on. | Graham Hunt/ProSportsImages

Confidence is coursing back into midfielder, who continued where he left off at Leicester City. Had two decent sights of goal in the first half, with the first extending Rushworth more than the second. Couldn’t quite sustain that level after restart but was dogged as Pompey became ragged. | National World

More energy and positivity from the Spurs loanee, but not matched with the end product on this occasion. Delivered the ball for first-half penalty appeal and then half-hearted claims after Bobby Thomas tackle. Replaced by Segecic. | ProSportImages

Felt the brunt of Coventry showing respect by changing to three powerful central defenders. Was a contest in the first half, but once again swallowed up and not in the right place as balls went into the box after restart. | Graham Hunt/ProSportsImages
