Championship football keeps coming thick and fast for John Mousinho’s side, who welcome Cardiff City this afternoon.
The Blues are eyeing their second victory of the campaign after falling to three defeats in their opening four league matches, including Tuesday’s reverse against Derby County.
Pompey will, though, be boosted by the additions of left-back Jayden Meghoma and attacker Tyrese Shade, with the pair arriving from Brentford and Burton Albion on deadline day.
Mousinho’s troops go into the showdown sitting 21st in the early-season standings, while newly-promoted Cardiff sit level on points in 19th but are yet to claim maximum points.
