The Pompey players were, understandably, in good spirits after their 3-1 win against Millwall at Fratton Park on Saturday.
The pressure was certainly on the team ahead of the game, with the Blues recording just one victory in 11 and edging closer to the Championship’s relegation zone.
Yet every one of the players head coach John Mousinho sent onto the field of battle returned to the changing room at the final whistle with their heads held high after a terrific performance against the promotion-chasers.
Pompey now sit 19th in the table after moving up one spot in the standings and also face a trip to Sheffield United on Wednesday night.
The games are set to come thick and fast for the Blues as they head towards the turn of the year.
