Pompey made it a second win in the capital within a week, following an outstanding performance at high-flying Millwall.
The match at The Den was goalless at the break, but 20 seconds after the restart Gustavo Caballero’s stunning finish from the angle opened the scoring.
John Swift finished off Millenic Alli’s pull-back to make it 2-0, before Casper De Norre pulled one back on 64 minutes.
However, skipper Marlon Pack rifled home a third to complete a 3-1 victory and provide a six-point cushion above the Championship relegation zone.

2. Nicolas Schmid - 7
Good instinctive save on 15 minutes to save a cross which took a wicked deflection off Poole and ricocheted towards goal. Beaten by a bit of De Norre brilliance, but otherwise extremely comfortable. | Graham Hunt/ProSportsImages
3. Terry Devlin - 8
No goal-scoring heroics, but another excellent showing from the right-back. Always tigerish in the tackle and, although he reining in his attacking, defensively was very assured. | Terry Devlin Photo: CameraSport - Rich Linley
4. Regan Poole - 8
Another strong display from the centre-half and there were even a few charges up field in the second half looking to get involved in attacks. Quite a partnership he has formed with Ogilvie. | Graham Hunt/ProSportsImages
