Championship form table: New Portsmouth, Birmingham City and Bolton Wanderers ranks after impressive turnaround

Pompey have enjoyed a brilliant turnaround in form since their south-coast derby disappointment against Southampton after the international break.

Since their St Mary’s blow, John Mousinho’s men have claimed key wins over Sheffield United and Norwich City before picking up a hard-fought draw against Wolves in midweek.

It has now seen the Blues rise to 13th in the Championship, having lost just one of their previous six matches.

Their up-turn in results has been even more impressive given the significant injury crisis at Fratton Park, with the head coach missing 10 players for Tuesday’s stalemate at Molineux.

Conor Shaughnessy, Colby Bishop, Josh Murphy, Connor Ogilvie, Benjy Arthur, Mark Kosznovszky, John Swift, Franco Umeh, Keshi Anderson and Luke Brooke-Smith were all sidelined, although the head coach is hopeful of some returning faces after Saturday’s game against Millwall.
