Latest supercomputer predicts final Championship table after key Portsmouth, West Ham and Norwich City wins

Pompey returned to winning ways on Saturday, with a brilliant 2-0 triumph over newly-promoted Cardiff City.

Goals from Conor Shaughnessy and Marko Milovanovic either side of half-time earned John Mousinho’s men their second maximum points of the season - and crucially their first victory on home soil.

The Blues had chances to extend their advantage, with Tyrese Shade and Abu Kamara both coming close, while Marezi had a second-half effort ruled out for offside.

Nonetheless, the triumph lifted Pompey up the early-season standings into 14th and now sit two points away from the play-offs.

Elsewhere, there were also wins for Middlesbrough, Stoke City, Millwall and West Ham as the Championship continues to gather pace.
